The Penn State Alumni AssociationWhat’s been happening: After graduation in 1952 I accepted a position with RCA in Lancaster, PA. After 2 years in engineering I was promoted to a management position in Color Tube Mfg., Quality Control. I was Finished Tube Quality Mgr. for ten years before advancing to a Staff Quality Control position. I finally ended up as Manager of Reliability for the Color Picture Tube Dept. until retirement in 1989. All my time with RCA was spent in Lancaster except for many business trips nationally and abroad. I was married to Joyce E. Parson while attending the Pennsylvania State College Undergraduate Center in Altoona Pa. We ended up living for several years in the Windcrest Mobile Home Park at State College during my school years. We had a son and four daughters, and eventually eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. All this was helped by the GI Bill for veterans of the 2nd World war. I'm 80 years old and still living in Lancaster, PA. (March 2009) |
